Programs & Services
Welcome to the Mitchell Child Development Center (CDC)!
We provide a wide variety of Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs for preschool-aged children. Our philosophy is to provide robust, individualized early intervention to children as identified through the assessment process.
Mitchell CDC Information at a Glance:

Mitchell CDC serves approximately 200 to 500 children, ages 3-5 years old, per year.

Mitchell CDC provides Early Intervention, Early Intervention Autism Specific, Extensive Support/Medically Fragile, and Inclusive programs for preschool-aged children.

Satellite ECSE classes are located at the following elementary school sites: Harvey, Jackson, Kennedy, Lincoln, Roosevelt-Walker, Sierra, and Washington.

Parent involvement and training is an integral part of all our programs. Parent trainings are offered on designated Collaboration Fridays at the Mitchell CDC campus.

Preschool Assessment Teams (PAT) assess children who have been identified as having areas of concern. Special education eligibility is determined based upon the assessment results.
